Anti Aging Skin Care Routines That Work

It can also decrease puffiness and make you look brighter and more radiant. The skin is 90% water and if it does not retain that amount of water it will dehydrate and appear unhealthy and wrinkled.

The second step in a daily routine should be eating foods that are rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants fight free radicals and stimulate the production of collagen. Free radicals can damage cells, tissue and DNA. Here are a few foods that have a high content of antioxidants, and can be eaten throughout the day.

The last step in your routine should be performed at the end of your day. You have been out in the sun and the smog, and very simply put, your face is dirty. Your pores have been clogged by make-up and all the outdoor elements, and going to bed without washing all of that off is bad for your complexion. The face needs to be cleansed and exfoliated to remove all impurities. When you have washed and exfoliated, splash cold water on your face to seal the pores shut. After patting dry, sweep toner over the face and apply night cream. When you finally climb into bed you should be laying your head on a clean, silk pillowcase. Cotton pillowcases have less flexibility and can make lines and creases on your face while you sleep. It can also pull and stretch the delicate area by your eyes, causing loss of elasticity and wrinkles.
